Winnipeg fire fighters were active around 4 a.m. Saturday morning when a multi-family home on Hallet Street caught on fire.
Upon arrival at the 100 block of Hallet, the crews were met with thick smoke and flames emanating from the residence.
Initially, the conditions allowed the crews to combat the fire from within, but as it escalated, they had to fight from the outside using aerial ladders.
There were no reported injuries due to the fire, but the home suffered significant damage.
The fire is presently still being investigated.
