You’ll notice that my lineup example does not include marquee names – Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic are both playing in this contest but are not in the lineup. This is because they are both day-to-day due to injury and are facing weak teams tonight. It's possible that they will not play the game or will only play half of it due to a big lead. I'm choosing players whom I believe will perform well, and if you want to include one of the Eastern European stars, we still project them to have outstanding games.
Immanuel Quickley ($8,200) – Predicted to Score 50 Fantasy Points
Quickley has become the main option for the Raptors in the absence of Scottie Barnes. They are facing a Portland team that will struggle to keep up with Quickley. It will be a messy game, as neither team is particularly strong, but the former Knick should make the most of it and deliver a strong DFS performance.
Devin Vassell ($7,700) – Predicted to Score 45 Fantasy Points
Devin Vassell has been overshadowed this season with the arrival of Victor Wembanyama in San Antonio, but he's achieving career-highs in points and assists while adapting to his 20-year-old imposing teammate. If Vassell can reach this projection against Golden State, it would greatly benefit your fantasy lineup.
Ausar Thompson ($5,600) – Predicted to Score 32 Fantasy Points
Thompson is a rookie Piston who has managed to perform well in basketball recently – averaging 12, 6, and 2 in his last 10 games. What's even more impressive is that he's achieving this without being a strong shooter. He's been a much more effective fantasy basketball player recently after a difficult start.
Jeremy Sochan ($5,400) – Predicted to Score 30 Fantasy Points
Similar to Vassell, Sochan's achievements often go unnoticed. He averages 12, 7, and 2 in his last 10 games, and could have another productive game today – at least for DFS purposes. We'll see if it will translate to a victory against a depleted Golden State team.
Kristaps Porzingis ($7,600) – Predicted to Score 42 Fantasy Points
Porzingis has been crucial to Boston's recent success, and the matchup with the Suns is favorable for him. He will be able to take shots against Jusuf Nurkic, who is a solid defensive big but is not great on the perimeter. On the defensive end, he should be able to block some shots. Our AI-powered model predicts that he will block 2 shots, but it could be even more.
Dalano Banton ($4,600) – Predicted to Score 32 Fantasy Points
Sorry, I didn’t mean to surprise you! If it helps, I was also surprised when I looked at Portland’s box score last night. The Trailblazers are not good, which allowed a player who barely played with the Celtics to score 30 points last night. Maybe Banton is finally succeeding as a prospect. Probably not, but at least he has a chance to shine in Portland. See if he can replicate his 52.5 fantasy points performance from last night. Even half of that production would be satisfactory.
