RCMP have arrested two men and a woman in connection with a botched armed robbery. robbery at a Surrey, B.C., jewelry store that left a man with multiple gunshot wounds.
The event took place on the evening of Feb. 18, at a shop in Impact Plaza near 152 Street and 101 Avenue.
The robbers used a woman as a decoy customer to enter the store, according to the manager.
After the woman left, a group of four men and a woman entered the store with a gun, as per the manager. The business partner’s husband confronted them and got shot multiple times.
On Friday, Surrey RCMP announced that they had identified three suspects and arrested Michael Onischuk, 36, and Larrissa Cowan, 32. Calgary on Feb. 27.
The two are charged with multiple offenses, including using a restricted firearm in a robbery, aggravated assault, and attempting to harm with a firearm.
A 33-year-old man was arrested in Langley on March 1 for robbery with a firearm but has been released without charges while further investigation takes place.
Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit continues the investigation and is searching for more suspects.
