An examination of the body has verified that a 22-year-old man discovered with critical injuries in southeast Edmonton earlier this week was killed by a gunshot.
Police were responding to reports of gunfire in the Pollard Meadows area near 48 Street and 21 Avenue, at around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon arrival, officers found Keithkarn Mander suffering from severe injuries. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics where he later passed away.
Authorities also stated that a burned-out SUV discovered later that night near 199 Street and 21 Avenue is linked to Mander’s death.
The Medical Examiner has confirmed that the death is a homicide.
