Police from the area north of Toronto say hate was a motivator in a man's alleged assault on pro-Palestinian protesters with a nail gun.
York Regional Police reported that officers were called to an area on Sunday due to a man who assaulted pro-Palestinian demonstrators. Vaughan Reports from police indicate that a man assaulted pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Vaughan.
Authorities state that the man allegedly approached the demonstrators in his vehicle, used offensive language, and had a confrontation with three protesters.
Authorities also say that as the situation worsened, the suspect allegedly used a nail gun, but no one was hurt.
A 27-year-old man from Vaughan is charged with several offenses, including assault and mischief.
Investigators concluded that hate was a motivator in the incident.
