Investigators continue to seek any surveillance, doorbell or dashcam footage from residents, visitors and businesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, as stated by the police.

Ottawa Police reported that they went to the location after people called 911 to say they heard a man shouting for help.
The police chief gave more information in a statement.
The Ottawa Police Service got two 911 calls from the Berrigan Dr. area at around 10:52 p.m. yesterday, reporting a strange incident where a man was shouting for help and asking people to call 911,” he said. “Our team was sent out right away, and the first officer arrived on the scene a few minutes later.”
As more units arrived, “officers identified a suspect who was swiftly arrested without any trouble. Paramedics were also called and began to arrive,” the statement says.
“Police went into the house to check on the safety of the people inside, and that’s when they began to find the six victims, the youngest of whom is under three months old,” it notes. “The family are newcomers to Canada and are originally from Sri Lanka. We are working to inform the families of the deceased, many of whom are overseas.”
The statement continues: “A man who is the father and husband of the victims was found at the scene and was hurt. He was taken to the hospital, where he is currently in serious but stable condition.”
