A woman in her middle years, Abike Olonade, has been taken into custody for taking a 16-year-old student to Libya against their will.
It has been reliably learned that the young person, whose name is not yet revealed, attends Adeoye Lambo Secondary School in Obada Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Acknowledging the arrest, the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, stated in a release in Abeokuta on Saturday that the suspect admitted to taking the student to Libya.
She stated, “A woman named Abike Olonade has been taken into custody for taking a 16-year-old student of Ademoye Lambo Secondary School in Obada Oko, Ogun State, to Libya.
“She confessed to trafficking the student to Libya.”
