Karen, a British visitor, has revealed that she was sexually attacked in Ghana, while on her current journey from London to Cape Town.
While traveling with her friends James and Spence, Karen spoke about the troubling event on Instagram, where the trio has been recording their experiences.
The trio, who started their road trip from London to Cape Town on March 13, 2024, have been sharing their adventures on Instagram, amassing a large following of over 324,000 fans.
Karen recently recounted the incident that occurred while she was resting by a waterfall in Ghana.
She mentioned, “I lay on the bench near the waterfall and took a brief rest to the soothing sound of the crashing waterfalls.
“When I opened my eyes, I was surprised to see a man looking at me with his pants down masturbating a meter away from me.
“I was completely shocked and immediately asked him to stop, jumping off the bench. He continued his disgraceful behavior and I informed him that I would report him to the police for sexual assault.”
The friends, who have been on the road for months, have encountered a mix of thrilling experiences and challenges, such as car problems, interactions with local police officers, and a meal in the Sahara Desert.
The trio have visited France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, and now Ghana.
They have also had the opportunity to meet the British High Commissioner to The Gambia, Harriet King, and her family.
