Pitchers Chris Sholtis and Spencer Smith held MMI Prep to three hits as Lake-Lehman won 2-0 on Saturday morning in Wyoming Valley Conference baseball.
Sholtis pitched for four innings to get the win, giving up two hits. Smith then pitched three shutout innings to save the game.
Sholtis and Scott Egbert each got two hits. Von Voelker got Lehman’s only RBI. Tanner Evans and Andrew Morris scored the runs.
Nick Pantages had a double for MMI. Caleb Skuba and Tommy Horvat each had a single.
H.S. SOFTBALL
Tunkhannock beat Jersey Shore 5-2
Elaina Kulsicavage hit a home run and had two RBIs as Tunkhannock got a non-conference win.
Makenzie Bevan tripled and scored for the Tigers. Erin Van Ness got two singles. Emily Patton, Addisyn Waterman and Lucy Karp each got one RBI.

Misericordia wins Freedom title
Tournament MVP Connor Maryniak led Misericordia to the MAC Freedom championship with a 2-1 win over Arcadia in the second game of the semifinal series on Saturday.
Maryniak pitched the whole game and helped with both Misericordia runs. He got a sacrifice fly in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead and then scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth.
Garrett McIlhenney and Joe Comins each got two hits and Jared Hoffman got the game-winning single in the eighth inning.
In the first game, Misericordia won 8-7 over Arcadia with a walk-off sacrifice fly by Brock Bollinger in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Owen Cordner started the winning rally with a walk and then stole second. McIlhenney got a bunt single to put runners at the corners. Jack Regenye was intentionally walked to load the bases and Bollinger hit a fly ball to center field to drive in the winning run.
