A Total gas station in Idi-Iroko, Lagos State, has been accused of making customers pay more for the fuel they are selling.
A video that has become popular on TikTok shows several customers with containers waiting to buy fuel.
The video shows customers being asked to pay N1000 for five liters and N2500 for 25 liters, with the station demanding payment before giving them fuel.
This is happening because many Nigerians are still struggling with the difficulty of getting fuel.
The person recording the video wrote, “These people selling five-liter containers collect N1000, and for 25-liter containers, you pay N2500. They make sure to take the money before selling the fuel.
“Now, they will tell us it is the Nigerian government raising the price. We can all see now that the Nigerian government is trying its best, but some people among the community are the ones mistreating Nigerians.
“I am using this platform to ask the Nigerian government to come to the aid of Nigerians. These people are the ones causing frustration for Nigerians, not the government.
