The Head of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Y.D Ahmed, has encouraged Corps members to act as good representatives, promoting unity wherever they are assigned.

Represented by the NYSC Coordinator for Sokoto State, Alhaji Usman Yakubu Yaro, the Director-General stressed the importance of maintaining a positive reputation and avoiding involvement in illegal activities.
“I urge you to uphold the values of love for one's country, hard work, and determination, which are important characteristics for building a nation,” he said, stressing the need for corps members to represent not only their families but also the NYSC in a positive manner.”
General Ahmed also cautioned the Corps Members against traveling at night, advising them to stop their journey and find safe places to spend the night whenever it's 6:00 PM.
He also encouraged them to continue with the post-camp training of the Skill Acquisition Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program and always make themselves available at their primary assignment locations.
The DG advised them to honor the customs and traditions of the people in their host communities.
The main event was the distribution of the posting letters to the successful Corps Members.
