Eamonn Walker, who has portrayed fire chief Wallace Boden on “Chicago Fire” for the last 12 years, is saying goodbye to the NBC show.
As per someone familiar with the production, the actor has chosen to exit the show. His character will not be written off and is anticipated to make a comeback in future episodes.
His final appearance will be in the Season 12 finale, scheduled to air on May 22.
Kara Killmer, who portrays paramedic Sylvie Brett, is also set to depart the show after this season, as she revealed in November.
