Actress Madam Elizabeth Evoeme, also known as Ovularia from the 80s TV show 'The New Masquerade', has passed away.
She passed away at the age of 81.
Her death occurred four and a half years after she was rumored to have passed away on November 5, 2019.
Her family announced her death in a statement.
The statement revealed that she passed away in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The statement stated, “Friends, fans, colleagues, and the family of the legendary actress, Elizabeth Lizzy ‘Ovularia’ Evoeme, would like to inform the public, all those who loved her and her work in ‘The new Masquerade,’ about her passing.
“Elizabeth ‘Ovularia’ Evoeme will be greatly missed and was deeply loved by her family and also by you, her fans.
“We appreciate your support and for respecting our privacy at this time. God bless you all and may our dear Elizabeth ‘Ovularia’ Evoeme rest in perfect peace, now and always.”
However, the details of her death were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, on November 5, 2019, Evoeme was rumored to have passed away.
After the rumor of her passing, Chika Okpala, known for his role as Chief Zebrudaya Okoroigwe Nwaogbe in the sitcom, also known as 4.30, denied the rumor.
