In the effort to combat banditry across borders, the armed forces of Niger have arrested a well-known Nigerian bandit leader called Kachallah Mai Daji near the town of Illela, Niger.
According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst and expert in fighting against rebellions, Kachallah Mai Daji has caused a lot of fear and destruction in the northeastern part of Nigeria for the last ten years.
“He has killed many people, destroyed villages, kidnapped hundreds and forced villages to pay money for nearly ten years,” said Zagazola Makama

Nigerien forces caught Kachallah Mai Daji as he tried to steal livestock across the border between Nigeria and Niger.
