WILKES-BARRE — Children’s Service Center recently marked its 162nd anniversary in April by recognizing Coterra Energy and long-time board members Paul Siegel and Jonathan Spohrer for their exceptional efforts to enhance the well-being of children and families in Northeastern PA.
More than 50 people attended the yearly luncheon hosted at the Westmoreland Club.
CEO Mike Hopkins mentioned Coterra’s backing for education, health care, and workforce development, as well as its various sponsorships in NEPA. He presented the Community Partner Award to Coterra for its key role in helping Children’s Service Center expand mental health initiatives in Tunkhannock.
Hopkins also recognized Paul Siegel and Jonathan Spohrer, Esq., with the Commitment to Children Award, acknowledging their 30-plus years of service on the CSC Board of Directors.
Hopkins stated that Siegel and Spohrer have been trusted advisors to CSC, offering guidance with empathy as the organization advanced programs and facilities, and developed more intricate operations.
“We are thankful to Coterra Energy and to Paul Siegel and Jonathan Spohrer for their generosity and leadership in aiding Children’s Service Center in becoming a prominent behavioral health network serving over 20 counties in Northeastern and North Central Pennsylvania,” Hopkins said. “They embody the dedication that has upheld CSC’s mission to break the cycle of mental health challenges and addiction in families to promote healing and recovery.”
