Arsenal super kid Chidozie Obi-Martin is going to play for Denmark in the 2024 European U-17 Championship, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Danish Football Union announced the 20-player squad on Monday, and the talented Arsenal U18 striker is part of the team traveling to Cyprus later this month.
Obi-Martin is in great form entering the tournament, scoring in eight consecutive matches in the U18 Premier League, bringing his season total to an impressive 29 goals.
The Glostrup native recently surpassed Folarin Balogun's record for the most league goals scored by an Arsenal U18 player in a single season.
After debuting for Denmark's U17 national team in August 2023, he has scored 10 goals in 14 appearances for the age group.
During the Cyprus tournament, Obi-Martin will aim to match the accomplishments of two Nigerian players with a connection to Chelsea, Victor Moses and Dominic Solanke, who were the leading scorers in the U17 EURO in 2007 and 2014 respectively.
