The person who started the Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, has praised President Bola Tinubu for the plan to build the 700Km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
As the initiative, overseen by the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has been widely praised and criticized in some areas, Murray-Bruce has shown his support for the former.
Posting on Twitter as @benmurraybruce on Sunday, with a video captioned, ‘A new era in Nigeria’s transportation history has begun. Watch to find out. There has never been anything like this,” the former federal lawmaker who represented the Bayelsa East Senatorial District from 2015 to 2019, described the project as “evidence of the powerful impact of forward-thinking leadership by President Bola Tinubu.”
The media executive also referred to Umahi as a man of “commitment in the leadership position.”
He said, “This highway will reduce travel times, lower transportation costs and improve access to markets and resources,” and added that the road project will be a “game changer for investors, entrepreneurs and travelers.”
While acknowledging that the N13 trillion project will lead to economic growth, Murray-Bruce said Tinubu is “creating a legacy of prosperity and growth,” while the highway will be a “symbol of hope for a brighter future.”
Governors of Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River, Edo, and Delta states have praised the President for beginning the construction of the coastal highway project.
