Darosha, who was the late singer Mohbad's Personal Assistant, has been questioned by the Nigeria Police Force.
PUNCH Online learned that Darosha went to the Zone 2 Command headquarters on Thursday after being invited by the police.
Mohbad's mother, Abosede, and father, Joseph, were also present at the meeting.
Aloba's family lawyer, Monisola Odumosu, revealed that Darosha was asked by the police to name those who instructed him to embalm the late singer in his home on September 12, 2023.
Odumosu mentioned that Darosha was invited and interrogated by the police based on a petition from Emmanuel Oroko of the Hillceetee Partners, acting on the instruction of Mohbad's father.
Darosha visited alone earlier in the week, but was requested to return on Thursday when Mohbad's parents would be present, which he did.
Darosha provided a statement to the police, mentioning those present when the deceased was embalmed.
The lawyer also added that the police had summoned those mentioned in Darosha's statement.
Individuals present at the late Aloba's residence during the embalming process are to appear before the police's investigation panel.
The local embalming goes against the Coroner's System Law 2007, specifically Section 48, which addresses the offences and penalties of tampering with a dead body contrary to Section 16.
The police, after questioning Darosha, have requested all those mentioned in his statement to undergo further interrogation. Allegations arose when Mohbad died, suggesting that he received local embalming without authorization from his father or a medical practitioner who could certify his cause of death.
Mohbad's father claimed that his son's body had already been embalmed and placed by the staircase when he arrived at the deceased's home on the day of his death.
He expressed this while urging the police to intensify the investigation into his son's death.
Mohbad passed away on September 12 at the age of 27, and the circumstances surrounding his death caused controversies on social media.
Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Music owned by Naira Marley, left the label in February 2022.
The Lagos State Police Command established a 13-man special investigation team on September 18, 2023, to probe the death.
His death also led to the arrest of Naira Marley and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, among others.
Mohbad's body was exhumed on September 21, 2023, for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, tweeted in September 2023 that the autopsy had been completed, and the police were awaiting results.
The PUNCH exclusively reported that the toxicology test conducted to determine the cause of the late music star's death had been completed.
The results had been sent to the pathologist who performed the autopsy for analysis and interpretation.
