A previous Minister of Education and entrepreneur, Kenneth Gbagi, passed away at 62 years old.
Gbagi ran as the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the recent election in Delta State.
He reportedly passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
His family confirmed his passing in a released statement.
His eldest son, Chief Emuoboh Gbagi, signed the statement which expressed, 'With deep sadness but thankfulness to God, we announce the departure of our beloved father, grandfather, husband, and brother.'
“Olorogun Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi, former Minister of Education, departed this life on the 4th of May 2024 at the age of 62.
“We find solace in the cherished memories of his life, his accomplishments, and the influence he had on the lives of numerous individuals and communities.
“We humbly request your thoughts and prayers for our family during this difficult time of bereavement.
“May his soul rest in peace.
