The Nigerian Army has started the process of accepting applications for non-tradesmen and women.
The Army posted on its official X account on Friday, saying that the application is free and runs from May 3 to May 4, 2024.
The post said, “We want to let everyone know that the online application for 87 Regular Recruits Intake for Non-Tradesmen & Women has started.
“Applications go from 3rd May – 7th June 2024.
“You can apply for free at http://recruitment.army.mil.ng. Selected candidates will take part in the State Recruitment Screening Exercise scheduled from 20th June–3rd July 2024. Recruitment into the Nigerian Army Is FREE, Beware of Fraudsters.”
Here are the entry requirements as listed on the army flyer:
- Applicants must be unmarried, Nigerian citizens by birth, and must have a National Identity Card or NIN slip.
- Applicants must meet the medical, physical, and psychological standards of the Nigerian Army.
- Applicants must not have any criminal convictions.
- All applicants must have at least 4 passes in a maximum of two sittings in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.
- Additionally, those applying as Tradesmen/women must also have TRADE TEST/CITY AND GUILD CERTIFICATE. More details are available on the website.
- Applicants must have a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital, or Local Government Council, or an age declaration.
- An applicant must be between 18 and 22 years old for non-trades/men and women, while tradesmen and women must not be older than 26 as of 30th June 2024.
- Applicants must be at least 1.68 meters and 1.65 meters tall for male and female candidates, respectively.
- Applicants must have a valid certificate of state of origin.
- Interested candidates should visit the Nigerian Army recruitment website https://recruitment.army.mil.ng to complete online registration from 3rd May to 7th June 2024.
