The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has stated that it has resolved the issues causing the current shortage of petrol.
NNPCL explained that the scarcity in some areas of the country was due to logistical problems, which have now been fixed.
The Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., Olufemi Soneye, emphasized in a statement on Thursday that there were no imminent changes in the prices of petroleum products.
Soneye, in the statement, assured Nigerians that there is enough supply of petroleum products nationwide and advised against panic buying.
The company stressed the importance of staying calm, as there is no fuel shortage in the country.
The statement clarified, "The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) wishes to clarify that the tightness in the supply of Premium Motor Spirit currently being experienced in some areas across the country is a result of logistics issues and that they have been resolved.
It also reiterated that the prices of petroleum products are not changing.
It urges Nigerians to avoid panic buying as there is sufficient supply of products in the country.
