Peter Obi, who will run for president in 2023 with the Labour Party, has once again talked about the idea of a 'New Nigeria' when he met with some citizens living outside Nigeria.
During his 'Thank You Tour' in the United States, Obi expressed his belief that a new Nigeria could happen if the right people were chosen to work in the government at all levels.
He made this statement together with the Coordinators of the PONewNigeriaProject, Dr. David Ogula, Dr. Moses Paul, and Mrs. Ndidi Mbagwu, and it was given to journalists on Sunday.
The former Governor of Anambra State talked about the meaningful journey of his US tour and a thought-provoking lecture he gave at Harvard Law School. He mentioned that Nigerians can overcome current challenges, take advantage of opportunities, and build a nation where every citizen can succeed.
Obi expressed, “As we move forward, let's remember the lessons we've learned, the connections we've made, and our strong determination to create a better future for Nigeria.
“Together, we can conquer obstacles, welcome opportunities, and establish a country where every citizen can succeed. Thank you for your consistent support, and let's keep moving forward with courage, compassion, and hope.”
Obi highlighted that every moment, from discussing the state of the nation to exploring paths for the future, was filled with hope, determination, and a shared vision for a brighter tomorrow.
The LP presidential candidate thanked those whose dedication and passion encouraged them to strive for excellence and make positive changes in their communities.
Obi mentioned, “Together, as a community united by common values and goals, we have the ability to shape a future focused on compassion, opportunity, and justice for all.
“The interactive Questions and Answer session and Thank You Tour in Boston, Massachusetts on April 13, 2024, provided a platform for meaningful dialogue with members of the 'Obidients' family and dedicated supporters of the new Nigeria in Massachusetts.
“Together, we discussed urgent issues and planned a path towards positive change, driven by a shared commitment to progress and unity.”
