The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, is confident that his principal, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, will win the ongoing All Progressives Congress primary election overseen by Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State.
Adelami has observed that the people of the state fully support Aiyedatiwa.
According to a statement by his Spokesperson, Paul Akindurohe, the deputy governor made this assertion while speaking to reporters after participating in the voting exercise at his Igboroko 2 Ward 3 in Owo.
“When I arrived this morning, I did not notice anyone backing other aspirants. However, I anticipated nothing different because the people in Owo have consistently shown their dedication to the Aiyedatiwa project.
“You can observe the large number of people supporting Aiyedatiwa. This demonstrates that the people of Owo are fully behind him, and this positive sentiment is similar across the state,” the deputy governor commented.
He thanked members of the All Progressives Congress in Owo for turning out in large numbers to vote for his principal, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in Saturday’s primary election across the state.
Adelami also praised the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies, and party members for the peaceful conduct of the APC primary election in the visited wards.
