The Governing Council of Osun State University on Friday said Mrs. Atinuke Oguntunde is the institution's third full Registrar.
Oguntunde's appointment as the first female Registrar comes 18 years after the university was established.
The Osun State Government established the institution on December 21, 2006, and has had two male Registrars.
Also appointed are Mr. Muideen Lasisi as the 3rd substantive Bursar, and Dr. Olugbenga Adewuyi as the 3rd substantive university Librarian.
The University's Public Relations' Officer, Ademola Adesoji, said the appointments were approved after the completion of the selection processes and the recommendations of the Selection Panel.
Adesoji stated, "Mrs. Atinuke Oguntunde, the newly appointed Registrar, will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. She previously served as the Deputy Registrar and College Secretary at the University’s College of Health Sciences. Mrs. Oguntunde has shown exceptional leadership and dedication during her services in the University system."
“Mrs. Atinuke Oguntunde has a B.A.(Ed.) in English Education from the University of Ilorin and an M.A. in Literature in English from the same institution.
Mr. Muideen Akintayo Lasisi was previously a Deputy Bursar at the National Open University of Nigeria. With over two decades of experience in finance and accounting, Mr. Lasisi’s appointment reflects UNIOSUN's commitment to financial prudence and accountability.
Dr. Olugbenga Wale Adewuyi, the newly appointed University Librarian, brings a wealth of academic and professional experience to his new role. He is known for his scholarly contributions and commitment to advancing library sciences and administration.
UNIOSUN's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Clement Adebooye, called the appointments a significant milestone in the institution’s journey towards academic excellence and institutional advancement.
