The Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria's South-West zone has elected 45 new executives for its state chapters in the next four years.

The Vice-President of REDAN, South-West Zone, Dr Kunle Adeyemi, mentioned that the election took place on Tuesday, April 18 in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, under the supervision of the Real Estate Developers Electoral Committee, led by Omololu Bolarinwa.
He also stated that Mr Babajide Ogunleye became the Secretary of the REDAN South-west zone following a large turnout for the election.
Among the newly elected officers, Dr Tony Kolawole became the Chairman of REDAN Lagos Chapter, while Dr. Chidiebere Etoniru became the vice-chairman of REDAN Lagos.
Dr Adeyemi Adeniyi was elected as the Chairman in the Ogun Chapter and Eyitayo Oniwide won the position of Vice Chairman.
Dr Muibi Hammed is the new chairman in the Oyo State chapter, with Mr Oluwaseun Owoseni as the vice chairman.
In the Osun State chapter, Dr Adekunle Isreal emerged as the Chairman and Mr David Olabiyi won the seat of Vice Chairman.
Olayato Aribo was elected as the Chairman of the Ondo State Chapter while Gbadebo Olamerun emerged as the Secretary.
Tomiwa Fayose was elected as the Chairman in the Ekiti State chapter.
The REDAN South-west zone VP quoted the REDAN President, Akintoye Adeoye, as saying that the election process was the best organised in his over 16 years as an executive of REDAN.
Adeyemi noted that the election process for REDAN South-West zone, the largest zone of the association, was free and fair, precise, accurate, and with a high level of transparency and credibility.
He congratulated the newly elected officers and wished them a successful tenure while urging them to be more professional and promote best practices and unity within the association.
He said, “Your elections are calls to service; nothing of value is free. Everything of value must cost something and sacrifice.
“It is time to work and change the narrative of REDAN and also assist in addressing the menace of housing deficit in the country to the barest minimum.
“This must be done through advocacy, promoting the visibility of the association, and influencing industry policies both locally and internationally.
“You are expected to enhance collaboration and discipline to foster advancement in the real estate sector, as it aligns with the mission and vision of the founding fathers of REDAN.”
Adeyemi added that following the conclusion of the election, REDAN President, Adeoye, immediately constituted a three-man reconciliation team to address issues as regards aggrieved members of the association.
The VP said the reconciliation team is chaired by Emmanuel Adetola, GMD, Adron Homes, and co-chaired by Kazeem Ajiborode, former Chairman of Ondo Chapter, while the Secretary is Mr Babajide Ogunleye.
He said the group in charge of making peace has 14 days to hand in a report and is supposed to unite all the upset members of REDAN into one large family.
