Lake-Lehman won 7-5 against Wyoming Seminary in a Wyoming Valley Conference baseball game on Friday. They had six extra-base hits, and the Black Knights had a strong performance with the help of Sam Finarelli, Will Jenkins, Logan Smith, and Chris Sholtis.
Sam Finarelli did well with a triple, double, and two RBI, while Will Jenkins also performed excellently with a triple and two RBI. Logan Smith contributed with a double and two RBI, and Chris Sholtis had a double, two singles, and scored two runs.
Jason Jones earned the win by striking out five in five innings, and Scott Egbert pitched two scoreless innings for the save.
Colin Donovan hit a home run for Seminary, while Antek Evan had a double and Hayden Vought drove in two runs.
Wyoming Area won 12-2 against Hanover Area
The Warriors scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth to finish the game with a 10-run lead.
Leadoff hitter Jacob Snyder scored four runs and had a triple, and Alex Vacula scored three runs and had two RBI. Brady Noone contributed two RBIs, and Tom Carlin secured the win by pitching the entire game.
Tyler Garrison had a 2-for-2 performance for Hanover Area, and Christopher Diaz singled in a run.
Dallas won 6-5 against Scranton
Dallas took a 6-0 lead in the first three innings and managed to maintain it till the end.
Starter Zach Paczewski got the win, and Connor Healey pitched the final two innings for the save.
Healey had a double and two RBI, while Dom Zangardi also had two RBIs, and Jack Dale doubled twice. Kaden Coyne also hit a double.
MMI Prep won 6-3 against Nanticoke Area
Lucas Pesotine hit a home run and had three RBI, while Heath Williams doubled, singled, and drove in two runs for the Preppers.
Brandon Wozniak hit a triple, and Derek Shemanski had a pair of singles and an RBI for Nanticoke Area.
Crestwood won 14-10 against Dallas
SOFTBALL
Celia Stahlnecker scored three runs and hit a solo homer as Crestwood defeated Dallas.
Kayla Wisniewski hit two doubles and an RBI for the Comets, and Allison Babula doubled and scored three runs.
Audrianna Atherholt hit a triple and had two RBI for Dallas, while Emily Davidson, Sophia Maier, and Gio Smacchi all hit a double.
Wilkes-Barre Area won 17-1 against Hanover Area
Kayce Martin pitched a three-inning one-hitter as the Wolfpack ended the game early with a 15-run lead.
Hope Burke had three RBI, Haley Martin had a double and two RBI, and Katie Keating and Jordan Prushinski each scored three times for Wilkes-Barre Area. Lydia Chafin doubled and had an RBI for Hanover Area.
