Two CBS Both "So Help Me Todd" and "CSI: Vegas" have been canceled by the network after being uncertain about their future.
“So Help Me Todd” will end its second and final season on May 16, followed by the conclusion of “CSI: Vegas” on May 19. Despite their good performance in ratings, both shows couldn't secure a spot in CBS’ upcoming schedule due to the expected premieres of three new dramas — “NCIS: Origins,” “Matlock,” and “Watson.”
“So Help Me Todd,” created by Scott Prendergast, centers on Todd (Skylar Astin), an investigator with strong instincts who is considered an outsider in his family. The legal comedy-drama premiered in 2022 and features Marcia Gay Harden and Madeline Wise. On the other hand, “CSI: Vegas” is the fifth installment in the “CSI” franchise and a revival of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (also known as “CSI: Las Vegas”). The cast includes Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez, and Mandeep Dhillon.
This television season, only two CBS shows have been canceled so far. The recently renewed freshman series “Elsbeth” is now part of the group of newly renewed series like “Tracker” and “NCIS: Sydney.” Additionally, longer running series such as “Fire Country,” “Ghosts,” “NCIS,” “The Neighborhood,” and “SWAT” as well as “FBI,” “FBI: International,” and “FBI: Most Wanted” have been confirmed for renewal.
The fate of two CBS scripted series still hangs in the balance: “NCIS: Hawai’i” and “The Equalizer.” The network has already renewed “NCIS” for a new season and is developing “Origins” for the fall, leaving the future of the Vanessa Lachey-led spin-off uncertain for now. The series is currently in its third season.
As for “The Equalizer,” the reboot of the series starring Queen Latifah debuted in 2021. The drama, which centers on a woman with specific skills dedicated to helping the vulnerable in her city, is currently in its fourth season, which will end on May 19.
