WILKES-BARRE — A person incarcerated at the State Correctional Institution at Dallas, Jackson Township, admitted in Luzerne County Court to having a make-shift shank.
Brandon Jesse Harris, 25, who is serving a sentence of six-to-18 years in state prison for attempting criminal homicide, aggravated assault and a firearm offense in Philadelphia, was discovered with a razor blade fused into a toothbrush handle while being escorted by two corrections officers on June 6, 2023, according to court records.
Harris admitted to having a weapon as an inmate before Judge David W. Lupas.
Harris's sentencing will take place at a later time.
