Monday's solar eclipse got a lot of news coverage, but Jimmy Fallon believes CNN didn't do a good job. He thinks Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen should have hosted a special eclipse show like they do for New Year's.
To start off his monologue on Monday's “Tonight Show,” Fallon added an eclipse glasses filter to one of his cameras so that only his face could be seen through a small hole.
“I'd like to be the 10 millionth person to ask you: did you see it?” he asked with enthusiasm. “Did you see it?!”
Fallon made fun of the constant news coverage of the event by various news stations, specifically singling out CNN.
“I think CNN made a mistake by not having Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper do a countdown to the blackout while drinking alcohol,” Fallon joked. “I mean, come on. That would’ve been great!”
Cohen and Cooper are known for enjoying drinks while hosting their live New Year specials every year, which has resulted in some very funny moments that fans have enjoyed Additionally, Fallon joked about how an earthquake occurred on the east coast just a week before the eclipse, making it a month full of amazing events, including Taylor Swift's next album dropping next week..
