Toronto police report that a woman in her 60s has passed away after being struck by a car in the northern part of the city on Thursday evening.
Authorities stated that the pedestrian-related accident occurred just after 10 p.m. close to Wilson Avenue and Avenue Road.
Initially, the police mentioned that a woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
In a subsequent update, the police confirmed that the woman passed away in the hospital due to her injuries.
The area was shut down for the investigation.
