The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stressed the significance of Nigerians sharing reliable information with the police for an effective policing system in the country.
In a video posted on the Nigeria Police Force’s X account on Friday, Adejobi emphasized the importance of community policing and the participation of every Nigerian in the policing structure.
He stated, “The concept of county policing is crucial to modern policing strategies.
“We cannot ignore this, and we cannot exclude every Nigerian from the policing structure in this country.
“That is why we urge you to provide us with reliable information. That’s what we refer to as intelligence.
“If we want to have an effective policing system in Nigeria, we need to depend on intelligence-based policing strategies in this country. We need your help.
“Every Nigerian, every individual has a role to play.
“And that is why we always say, ‘when you see something, you say something’.”
