Some types of liquid laundry detergent. detergent Health Canada is recalling some pods made by Proctor and Gamble in Canada due to worries about potential harm to child-resistant packaging.
The recall by Health Canada affects different batches of Tide and Gain pods sold in Canada, which were made in the U.S. Tide PODS and Gain Flings produced in the U.S. and distributed in Canada.
As per the notice from the agency, a manufacturing flaw can damage the packaging's child-resistant feature, putting children at risk of illness or injury.
As of April 2, 56,741 affected products have been sold, but there have been no reports of incidents or injuries in the country.
The specific products affected are 31-pack bags of Tide PODS 3-in-1 Clean Breeze and Spring Meadow, 15-pack bags of Tide PODS 4-in-1 with Ultra Oxi, 13-pack bags of Tide Simply PODS Oxi Boost and Ultra Stain Release, Refreshing Breeze scent, and the 16-pack bag of Gain Flings Moonlight Breeze.
People with an affected product should keep it hidden from children and contact Proctor & Gamble. They can get a pre-paid gift card, cabinet latch, and an empty replacement bag with child-resistant closure.
Consumers will need to provide a photo of the barcode and lot number, which can be found at the bottom of the bag. They can also visit the company’s websites for Tide and Gain.
