Additional charges have been added in relation to a serious two-car crash on Highway 35 in Kawartha Lakes, Ont., in November 2023.
The Kawartha Lakes OPP say the crash involved a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle. took place around 3 p.m. on Nov. 5, just north of the village of Cameron.
One person was flown to a trauma center in the Toronto area while three others were taken to Toronto hospitals, police said.
The highway was shut down for over seven hours as police conducted their investigation.
At the time of the incident, police stated that the driver of the pickup truck was charged with impaired driving.
OPP announced on Friday morning that their investigation resulted in more charges.
Keith Fowler, 57, of Kawartha Lakes (formerly Somerville Township), was charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle while impaired (alcohol and drugs and blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus).
He was also charged with three counts of operating a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
No further details were given.
