The media company, The Elegantz Media, has emphasized that it plans to use new technologies and advanced tools and platforms to change Afro-centric media.
A message on Thursday states that with a strong vision for the future, the brand has started a transformative journey towards digital growth, using technology to improve its reach, engagement, and impact.
It says The Elegantz Media's digital strategy is focused on connecting with audiences online.
“Recognizing the changing preferences of consumers in an increasingly digital world, the brand has heavily invested in creating a strong online presence across different platforms. From dynamic websites to engaging social media channels, The Elegantz Media offers audiences a smooth and interactive digital experience that goes beyond geographical boundaries,” the statement said.
It added that Kayode Toriola, the publisher of The Elegantz Magazine, has been instrumental in shaping its identity and guiding its direction in the Afro-centric media landscape. Under his leadership, the magazine has thrived, becoming a symbol of cultural celebration and a beloved companion for readers around the world.
The statement also mentioned, “At the core of The Elegantz Media’s digital growth efforts is the launch of e-Elegantz, an innovative online platform that transforms the way readers access and engage with content. With e-Elegantz, subscribers can enjoy the latest issues of the magazine on their own devices, anytime, anywhere. This digital subscription service not only improves accessibility for readers but also reduces the brand’s environmental impact by decreasing reliance on print materials.
“In addition to e-Elegantz, The Elegantz Media is actively exploring new digital avenues such as podcasting, video streaming, and augmented reality to further enhance the reader experience and stay ahead of the curve. By adopting new technologies and digital trends, the brand aims to remain at the forefront of Afro-centric media, providing audiences with innovative and immersive content experiences that captivate, educate, and inspire.”
Online platforms, particularly social media, have been significant channels for communication and sharing information for millions of users, compelling many companies and businesses to take advantage of the revolution and realize the potential.
However, this has led to authorities seeking to regulate social media, as seen with the National Broadcasting Commission engaging with major social media platforms to address their users' excesses.
In October 2023, the National Broadcasting Commission announced that it was working with major social media platforms to control the abuses of their users.
Francisca Aiyetan, the Director of Broadcast Monitoring at the NBC, mentioned this while discussing the commission's plans to regulate social media with Daily Trust.
She stated that if social media is not regulated, young people could be led astray.
