Lake-Lehman came back from being four runs behind in the final two innings, scoring four in the bottom of the seventh to surprise Holy Redeemer with a 7-6 win on Friday in a WVC baseball matchup.
Chris Sholtis led the offense for the Black Knights, going 3-for-4 with a double and a triple. Jake Naugle got a triple and brought in a run.
Jack Hurst went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Royals. Cody Quaglia doubled and brought in a run.
Berwick 7, Crestwood 6
Behind by four runs in the fifth inning, Berwick managed to tie the game in that inning before scoring the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.
Greysen Kupsky and Jake Lisnock together got six of the Bulldogs’ eight hits. Kupsky doubled and brought in three runs while Lisnock had a triple with two RBI.
Kupsky got the win in relief, pitching 3.2 innings without allowing any runs, and gave up two hits.
Trevor Miller homered and ended with three RBI for the Comets while Chaz Wright went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
CORRECTION
Two versions of a box score — one from each school — were submitted for Thursday’s Wyoming Valley West vs. Berwick game. The version that ran in Friday’s Times Leader had two Wyoming Valley West players reversed.
Evan Harchar hit the home run for the Spartans and Mason Matello was the winning pitcher.
SOFTBALL
Tunkhannock 16, Wilkes-Barre Area 0
The Tigers won in four innings with Elaina Kulsicavage finishing one home run short of the cycle, going 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and six RBI.
McKenzie Hannon pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts and three walks and also got two hits, including a home run, and three RBI at the plate. Addisyn Waterman also hit a home run for Tunkhannock.
BOYS LACROSSE
Delaware Valley 13, Crestwood 8
The Warriors won an early season battle of unbeaten teams with five goals and three assists from Peyton LaRocco, who surpassed 100 career assists in the game.
Jack Augustine led the Comets with four goals and an assist. Gianni Piccolotti scored three times with an assist.
Wyoming Seminary 22, Dallas 7
Matt Swartz was involved in 12 goals, scoring nine and setting up three more for the Blue Knights. Jack Herron followed with six goals and two assists.
Noah Greco scored five goals and added an assist for the Mountaineers.
North Pocono 13, Lake-Lehman 0
Riley Moore ended with five goals and Thomas MacDonald got the shutout in net for the Trojans.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Delaware Valley 17, Wilkes-Barre Area 3
Carrigan McCormac (two assists) and Ava Kraszewski each scored six goals to power the Warriors.
Aubrey Kuhl scored twice for the Wolfpack and Gianna Gustinucci added a goal.
BOYS TENNIS
Holy Redeemer 5, Berwick 0
The Royals had an easy win over Berwick.
Frank Klimovitz, Mateo Runde and Lukas Runde each won in singles action for Redeemer, with Klimovitz and Mateo Runde each winning without dropping a game.
Wyoming Seminary 4, MMI Prep 0
Wyoming Seminary won all four matches that were completed before rain forced a premature end to the second doubles match.
William Hall, Ansareli Atabayev and Yicheng Li each won in singles for the Blue Knights. The team of Andrew Tsui and Christopher Ramos earned the lone doubles point for Sem.

The Spartans won against Pittston Area in a game cut short by rain.
