Jessica Tarlov, the only Democrat on Fox News' show 'The Five', got cohost Jesse Watters to acknowledge on Thursday that he was looking at incorrect poll numbers for Biden.
After making fun of Biden for hiring new pollsters, he stated, 'His coalition is completely collapsing. He's tied with Hispanic voters. He's tied with young voters, and he's only getting 68% of the Black vote. That's a total disaster.'
Tarlov mentioned that the latest Real Clear Politics polls indicate that Biden is now one point ahead of Donald Trump, causing Watters to say, 'Uh oh. I'm thinking of firing my pollster.'
Considering the new information from Tarlov, pro-Trump cohost Greg Gutfeld stated, 'I would hold off on these optimistic stories that predict the premature downfall of Joe Biden.'
Cohost Dana Perino suggested that the new polling experts — including Geoff Garin, Jefrey Pollock, Molly Murphy, and Brenda Lee — were being brought in to replace the current team because '[Biden doesn't] like the polls that are coming out.'
Tarlov clarified that the new pollsters are specialists and not replacements for the current team. 'The pollsters that he did bring in are experts in specific areas where yes, the numbers have been weak, [but] not like what Jesse stated. I have many spaghetti bridges to sell you,' she told Watters.
She also said, 'He's bringing in pollsters who specialize in Latino voters and in Black voters. And I think that that's a smart strategy.'
She explained that the specialists will provide Biden 'a wider range of information. He's going to have more people on his advisory team. And I think that that's beneficial.'
