The Wilkes-Barre Area boys volleyball team was able to secure a victory in their first home game, defeating Holy Redeemer 3-2 after an intense five-set match on Wednesday night.
The Wolfpack initially won the first two sets with scores of 25-23 and 25-19, but Holy Redeemer fought back, tying the match at two sets each with 25-12 and 25-18 victories in the third and fourth sets.
In the closely contested final set, Wilkes-Barre Area emerged victorious, claiming the set 17-15 and sealing their overall win.
Standout players included Julio Amigon (3 aces, 5 kills, 28 assists), Jordany Rodriguez (1 ace, 12 digs, 13 kills), Joaquin Prado (15 digs, 7 kills), Jean Carlo Banegas (26 digs), and Vincent Garrett (6 kills, 4 blocks).
Dallas 3, Wyoming Valley West 0
The Mountaineers achieved a clean sweep with scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-15, as Carter Brunn delivered an impressive performance with 15 kills, two aces, six service points, three digs, and nine blocks.
Also contributing were Connor Handley (1 service point, 12 kills, 2 digs), Christopher Miller (1 ace, 4 service points, 10 kills, 5 digs, 2 assists), and Andrew Lisman (7 service points, 4 kills, 2 digs, 2 assists, 4 blocks).
BOYS LACROSSE
Delaware Valley 20, Lake-Lehman 2
In their victory, Delaware Valley had 13 different players scoring, spearheaded by Justin Kalitsnik with four goals. Noah Rabolli netted three goals for the Warriors.
Anthony Magnotta and Logan Law each scored once for Lake-Lehman, while Dom Brown made eight saves for the Black Knights.
In the game against Wilkes-Barre Area, Lakeland secured a 7-5 win.
Jesse Kovaleski's five goals propelled Lakeland to victory over Wilkes-Barre Area. Rocco Stefalo and Luke Witko also contributed with goals for Lakeland.
Wilkes-Barre Area's Joe Egidio scored four of the team’s five goals and provided an assist for the fifth goal. Sam Reese scored the only other goal for Wilkes-Barre Area.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Drew 24, Wilkes 8
Wilkes suffered a loss to Drew, falling to 2-9 overall and maintaining a winless record in Landmark Conference action. The team was trailing 16-3 at halftime.
Brooklyn Pedana and Ava Ward played key roles, each contributing three goals and one assist for Wilkes.
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Stevens 3, King’s 0
The Monarchs fell short against Stevens in the team’s final match of the season. Stevens, ranked second in the nation in the AVCA polls, secured victory with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-21.
Logan Dougherty led the King’s offense with nine kills. The Monarchs concluded the season with an 18-7 record, but only managed a 1-7 mark in the Middle Atlantic Conference.
