During Tuesday's plenary, the Clerk of the House, Adogu Kent, read the letter from the governor, which lacked attached names.
In the letter, the governor sought the House of Assembly's approval for the appointment of 24 Special Advisers to the Governor.
The purpose of the appointment is to ensure effective governance and the realization of the state's vision of prosperity.
This action is in line with Section 196 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.
Edwin Bubou-Obolo, the member representing Southern Ijaw Constituency 2, proposed the motion for the assembly's approval, seconded by Marlon Moses of Southern Ijaw Constituency 3.
Both members unanimously stated that approving the governor's request was essential to provide legislative support to the government.
