A man is in jail and is being accused after a pedestrian was struck by a car on Long Plain First Nation, Man.
Early Sunday morning, Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) said officers arrived at the crash, where a 21-year-old man was hit by a car and trapped underneath.
Emergency responders managed to rescue the victim and put him into an ambulance, but officials said he died on the way to the hospital.
MFNPS stated that an inquiry found the death to be a homicide, so RCMP Major Crimes became involved.
The investigation is continuing.
