TORONTO – The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Jacob Quillan, a forward from Quinnipiac University.
The team announced Monday that they have agreed to a two-year entry-level contract with the 22-year-old from Dartmouth, N.S.
The contract has an average annual value of US$875,000 and will start in 2024-25.
Quillan scored 17 goals and provided 29 assists in 39 games for Quinnipiac this season and was recognized as the best defensive forward in the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
The six-foot, 201-pound centre achieved 38 goals and 55 assists in his NCAA career spanning 116 games.
Quillan netted the game-winning goal in overtime that secured Quinnipiac the 2023 NCAA championship last season and was honored as the most outstanding player in the Frozen Four.
