Environment Canada has stated that a storm related to early spring is set to come to Toronto in the next few days.
The weather agency has issued a special statement saying that strong winds, rain, and the possibility of wet snow may occur from Tuesday to Thursday.
Environment Canada mentioned that a weather system originating from Colorado is likely to start affecting the area today.
Significant rainfall is anticipated from later Tuesday morning through Wednesday.
There may be a mix of rain and wet snow on Wednesday night as cooler air moves in, but it should diminish by Thursday evening, according to the weather agency.
The weather agency expects that there could be 25 to 30 mm of rain by Wednesday evening, with only small amounts of wet snow expected for now.
The special weather statement states that strong easterly winds with gusts reaching up to 70 km/h are expected to develop but will ease on Wednesday.
The potential for power outages is also noted by the weather agency.
Environment Canada mentioned that there is a lot of uncertainty about the path of the Colorado low, which will significantly affect temperatures, snowfall amounts, and the timing of any transition from rain to snow.
