The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders lost 4-3 to the Buffalo Bisons on Easter Sunday.
The RailRiders couldn't maintain a late lead and ended the series with two wins out of three.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre scored first in the second inning. Jeter Downs and Josh Breaux both singled. Brandon Lockridge then hit a double to bring Downs home, giving them a 1-0 lead.
Peyton Henry hit a solo home run at the beginning of the fourth inning to tie the score.
The RailRiders fought back in the following inning. Lockridge singled and then scored on a triple from Luis Gonzalez. Caleb Durbin got the team's fourth RBI, making it a 3-1 lead.
Buffalo narrowed the gap in the sixth inning. Orelvis Martinez got on base due to an error and then advanced to second on a groundout. He then progressed to third and scored on wild pitches.
In the eighth inning, the Bisons took the lead again. Spencer Horwitz hit a two-run single, putting them ahead 4-3.
Cody Morris started and pitched two scoreless innings with 43 pitches. Oddanier Mosqueda got two outs in the third but also walked two. Yorlin Calderon struck out a batter in his Triple-A debut, leaving two runners stranded. Calderon pitched for three and a third innings, allowing two runs, with only one being earned. Clayton Andrews pitched a clean seventh inning but left with a runner on base and two outs in the eighth. Dennis Santana allowed both runners to score during the rest of the inning.
Chad Dallas started and pitched five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. Paxton Schultz and Hagen Danner had uneventful appearances. Connor Cooke pitched a scoreless ninth inning and got a save.
