Manitoba Moose player Brad Lambert has been chosen as the top newcomer for the American Hockey League for this month.
The 20-year-old is the top scorer for the Moose and tallied 18 points in 13 games during March, leading the AHL with 14 assists during that period.
Lambert, who hails from Lahti, Finland, was selected 30th overall by the Winnipeg Jets and signed a three-year entry-level contract with them in December 2022.
Con-BRAD-ulations to our super rookie on being named @TheAHL Rookie of the Month, with 18 points (4G, 14A) in 13 March games!

He is the fifth Moose player to earn the newcomer of the month award, following Cole Perfetti in April 2021 and Brenden Kitchton in January 2014. The team has been the Jets’ farm team since then. Also, Cory Schneider (March 2008) and Kevin Bieksa (March 2005) received this honor when the team was affiliated with the Vancouver Canucks.
The Moose are currently in fifth place in the AHL’s Central Division. Their next game is a road game in Abbotsford, B.C., on Tuesday.
