A woman was found dead at an Ajax home late Saturday and a man has been taken into custody, police say.
Durham Regional Police stated that they received a report at about 11:05 p.m. regarding a residential location near Bayly Street East and Shoal Point Road.
Responding officers discovered a deceased woman and apprehended a man at the scene, according to the police.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
There is currently no additional information available about the circumstances of the woman’s death.
