On Meet The Press, NBC's Kristen Welker made it seem normal for Trump to criticize judges and their families.
In her opening statement, Welker said:
Meanwhile this week, the former president increased his criticism of the judge and his family in the New York hush money case, after the judge put a partial gag order on Mr. Trump less than three weeks before the trial starting on April 15th. Now, Trump is saying that none of the trials should happen during his campaign, falsely labeling the criminal proceedings as “election interference.” This is another reminder that we are reporting on this election in a deeply divided nation.

Kristen Welker’s portrayal shows how the corporate media tries to make Donald Trump's attempts to undermine democracy and the judicial system in the United States look normal.
Attacks on judges and their families do not show a divided country. Instead, they show an autocrat trying to regain power and dismantle any barriers that could hold him accountable.
The corporate media continues to support the candidate who wants to undermine the U.S. government system.
It would greatly help protect democracy if people like Kristen Welker and Meet The Press did not make Trump's behavior seem normal as part of a presidential campaign.
The corporate media is failing America by appeasing a potential dictator.
