The Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, revealed that he received a message from God stating that President Bola Tinubu will stay in office for eight years before stepping down.
Umahi shared this during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today to discuss the progress of work on the Third Mainland Bridge and the 700km Lagos-Calabar coastal expressway.
But when asked how he was certain that Tinubu would be re-elected to oversee the completion of all the projects, the former Ebonyi governor explained, “The Lagos-Calabar coastal road is 700km long and has 10 lanes, with five on each side. In the middle, there are provisions for rail lines. Our aim is to finish it within the eight years of Mr. President’s administration.
“You referred to me as a pastor. However, I am also a prophet, and it's important to understand that the arrival of Mr. President is divinely inspired. When God initiates something, He sees it through. Therefore, I firmly believe and am convinced to inform you that God conveyed to me that this administration will continue for eight years because it is ordained by God.
“You can witness the miraculous work that Mr. President is carrying out, inspired by God Almighty who brought him to correct all the wrongdoing. This is precisely the purpose for which Mr. President has arrived. We are here to support him.”
Umahi discussed the current administration’s intentions to connect the major expressways with other routes leading to different West African countries.
The minister also reassured Nigerians that 99% of the necessary work on the Third Mainland Bridge has been completed and the bridge will be opened in the upcoming days.
“Mr. President has provided the funding and I can confirm that 99% of the project is finished. However, additional work is required: we are installing solar lights and replacing the generator lights with solar ones.
“We are installing CCTV cameras both on top of the bridge and underneath it because the President told me that part of the problem we are facing is people who are engaged in illegal sand mining. I concur with him. I have witnessed it. They even go as far as damaging the concrete to anchor their small boats,” he explained.
