Chance Perdomo, a well-known actor for playing Andre in the popular Amazon Prime Video show Gen V, has passed away.
TV Line has reported that Perdomo, also recognized for his role in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, died from a motorcycle crash.
He was 27.
Representatives of Perdomo have affirmed his passing in a statement on Saturday.
Perdomo recently appeared in Gen V, a spinoff of The Boys on Prime Video, where he portrayed Andre Anderson, a student with the ability to manipulate magnets.
The series, which premiered in September 2023 and was scheduled for a second season in October, will face production delays due to Perdomo's passing, according to TV Line.
Perdomo also appeared in episodes of Midsomer Murders and Hetty Feather.
The producers of Gen V expressed their shock in a statement released on Saturday.
“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this,” the producers of Gen V stated.
“For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
