MSNBC’s Morning Joe 'Morning Joe' said that the U.S. might not survive another term with Trump if he aims to damage or destroy the Constitution.
'Morning Joe' first showed a clip of Liz Cheney stating that Trump may not peacefully transfer power if re-elected.
Cheney also mentioned that while she disagrees with Biden's policies, the U.S. can handle bad policies, but not a president willing to harm the Constitution.
The MSNBC morning show then aired a clip of Anthony Scaramucci who agreed with Cheney, highlighting Republican reluctance to speak out against Trump.
'We can handle bad policies. We've dealt with them for eight years,' 'Morning Joe' co-host Joe Scarborough said.
'We have a system that smooths out the harshest aspects,' Scarborough continued. 'Despite some extremists criticizing the U.S., we're a great country.'
'The American Dream is great,' Scarborough said, 'due to a slow and frustrating system of checks and balances that has kept us strong for over 240 years.'
The host also noted that despite complaints, the U.S. has the strongest military and economy, which is not a coincidence.
Scarborough also expressed that he believes the U.S. could handle an ideologically extreme president like Mike Pence or Bernie Sanders, as long as they respect the Constitution, rule of law, and checks and balances.
'We can handle bad policies,' finished Scarborough. 'But we can't survive a malicious intent to harm the Constitution and punish dissenters for treason.'
