The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc's management has assured its customers of a steady power supply within its area during the Easter celebrations.
The IBEDC Managing Director, Kingsley Achife, mentioned in a statement on Friday that the company will have its technical team ready to handle any issues that may arise during the festivities.
While extending warm greetings for the Easter season, Achife emphasized the importance of love, renewal, and sacrifice, which are crucial for societal harmony and progress.
The MD encouraged all citizens, particularly Christians, to embrace the spirit of love and compassion, promoting unity and collective prosperity.
Achife reaffirms IBEDC's dedication to providing excellent service throughout the Easter celebrations.
“He assures customers that the technical team will be on standby to promptly address any electrical faults that may arise during this period,” mentioned the statement, urging customers to seek assistance through its customer care line,” the statement read.
The managing director warned against the use of unqualified individuals to handle electrical issues within communities, emphasizing the importance of following safety protocols and proper earthing of premises.
He also highlighted the risks of tampering with electrical installations, emphasizing that such actions are not only illegal but also pose serious risks of electrical accidents.
Achife urged motorists to be careful on the roads and avoid driving under the influence of alcohol while following traffic regulations to prevent accidents involving electrical infrastructure.
The PUNCH reports that the IBEDC's assurance of stable power supply comes amidst complaints of power outages from its customers in Ogun, Oyo, Osun, and others.
