The leader of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, on Friday, called on Christians in Nigeria to be ready to give up things for the country in the Easter spirit.
He also asked Christians to pray for unity, peace, political stability, and growth in the country.
A statement released in Abuja on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, contained this.
He stated that Christians should use the Easter holiday to think about what they can do to make the current political and security situation in the country better.
He said, “This year’s Easter celebration is happening at a very important time in our national history, when everyone must be ready to give up things for greater unity, peace, political stability, and progress in our beloved country.
“May this day of thinking and giving up inspire unity, peace, and harmony across the country. Let us promote the values of love, compassion, and understanding toward one another.”
Ganduje also asked Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu as he works to improve the current economic challenges faced by the people.
While acknowledging the challenges as temporary, the APC national chairman expressed happiness that the current government's efforts are already bringing results.
He urged Nigerians, regardless of their religious and political beliefs, to stand with the President, who he said is working hard to address Nigeria's current issues.
